Director and Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (R506879)
Marty Baram is the Director of SYMY Immigration Consultants and Recruitment. In addition to his role as Director of SYMY, Marty is a member of the Board of Directors at the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council as well as a member of the Finance and Audit Committee, Human Resources and Compensation Committee and Registration and Education Committee at ICCRC. Marty is an Instructor of Immigration: Laws, Policies and Procedures at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
SYMY was established in 2008 primarily as a recruitment agency to fill labor shortages and to match talented foreign workers with suitable Canadian employers. Marty successfully placed hundreds of foreign nationals as temporary workers and Permanent Residents in Canada. He is very well versed with the Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) application process and is regarded as an expert in the field.
His areas of expertise are: International Recruitment, Labor Market Impact Assessments, Francophone Mobility, Permanent Residence applications- specifically Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs. Meghan joined the SYMY team in 2014. Prior to becoming a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, she had a career in International Development that allowed her to travel and work on a number of exciting projects in different countries all around the world. She realized there was a need for honest, trustworthy immigration advice and decided to become a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. In addition to her role at SYMY, Meghan works as a Permanent Residence Advisor at the University of Calgary, offering Permanent Residence advice to their International Student Population.
Meghan received her Immigration Consulting Diploma from Ashton College. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Alberta and a Master’s Degree in International Development from York University. Meghan is a member in good standing of the ICCRC (R514263) and CAPIC (Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants).
Her areas of expertise are: Francophone Mobility, LMIAs, Permanent Residence applications- specifically Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs, Family Class Sponsorship, Humanitarian and Compassionate Cases. She is also skilled at helping clients maintain valid temporary status in order to remain in Canada while on the path to becoming a Permanent Resident.

Bharuttee is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and a member of CAPIC (Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants). Bharuttee joined the SYMY Team in 2015 and she has extensive experience in permanent residence applications under the economic class, family class, and temporary resident applications: work permits, study permits and visitor visa. She also handles refugee cases with great success, representing clients at the IRB.
Bharuttee can communicate fluently in three languages namely French, English and Hindi. With an engineering degree and a rich career in the education sector for a decade, she migrated with her family to Canada. Being an immigrant herself, she has first-hand experience with the overwhelming immigration process. Her personal experience can assure you that she both understands and empathizes with your needs.

Kitty is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) who joined the SYMY team in 2019. She advises clients on matters relating to temporary and permanent residence applications to Canada. These include visitor visas, study permits, work permits, sponsorship applications, provincial nomination programs and Express Entry streams.
Kitty has a Bachelor’s degree in University of Alberta and obtained her Immigration Consulting Diploma from the Ashton College. She can communicate fluently in two languages namely English and Mandarin and is happy to assist clients in both languages.

Heather is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and member of CAPIC (Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants). Heather joined the SYMY Immigration team in 2018. She is a very strong consultant with experience in both temporary residency (study permits, work permits and visitor visas) and in Permanent Residency and Citizenship applications. She specializes in evaluating client needs and finding solutions to their Immigration issues. She has experience with Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs in addition to Family Sponsorship and Humanitarian & Compassion applications.
Heather has a Bachelor degree from the University of Alberta and was initially drawn to Immigration work through years of working in refugee support and resettlement. The desire to meet the needs of immigrants and newcomers to Canada drew her to pursue a Diploma in Immigration Consulting at Ashton College. Heather takes client goals and needs seriously and is a passionate advocate. She provides clients with trusted advice, courtesy and dedication.

Wenlin is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and a member of CAPIC (Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants). She joined the SYMY team in 2020. She has extensive experience with students through her studies and work at the University of Alberta. Being an immigrant herself, she understands the clients’ needs and is devoted to providing solutions.
Wenlin received her Immigration Consulting Diploma from Ashton College where she graduated with honors. She also has a PhD Degree from the University of Alberta. She is experienced in both temporary residence (study permits, work permits and visitor visas) and permanent residence applications. She can communicate fluently in English and Mandarin, and she loves to meet people from different cultural backgrounds.
